EDUARDO FARILLO

Eduardo Farillo has been working with polymer clay since childhood, starting with simple creations and gradually developing his skills without any formal training in the visual arts. In recent years, his work has evolved into detailed floral sculptures and carefully crafted faux ceramic vessels.

EDUARDO'S CLASS

LUMINOUS CRYSTAL FLOWERS

Let's go beyond tradition! In this class, you will explore innovative ways of working with both polymer clay and liquid clay.

Eduardo Farillo invites you to create Luminous Crystal Flowers, pushing the material far beyond its classic possibilities. Through sculpting, shaping, and interesting surface techniques, you will create luminous crystal-like flowers and a hand-sculpted vessel finished with a shimmering crystalline glaze.

Whether displayed in a vessel or transformed into a statement necklace, this project is packed with fascinating discoveries. Along the way, you will explore special-effect pigments and inclusions, create crystalline surfaces, and learn innovative liquid clay techniques that give rise to futuristic floral forms unlike anything found in nature.

WHAT WILL YOU LEARN?

During Eduardo’s full-day class, you will learn and discover how to:

  • build both small and large hollow forms and vessels entirely by hand

  • shape liquid clay into crystal-inspired flowers

  • create radiant faux ceramic glazes on curved, sloping, and vertical surfaces

  • combine inclusions and pigments for luminous effects

  • create a sculptural vessel or wearable necklace

EDUARDO'S ARTWORK

Inspired by the polymer clay community, Eduardo has begun pursuing this medium more professionally. He now shares his knowledge through online teaching, presentations, and tutorials focused on his distinctive ceramic and glazing techniques.

His work today centres around botanical forms and home decor, where he closely observes nature while allowing space for imagination, particularly when working with additional materials in his glazing processes. He embraces bold, vibrant colours in his pieces and is excited to share his unique explorations in his class at Polymer Week 2026.
