ANDREEA CORPODEAN
With a background in marketing, geography, and tourism, Andreea Corpodean from Romania has always been a creative person, exploring many artistic mediums over the years. Around ten years ago, she discovered polymer clay, a material that deeply resonated with her and drew her into the slow, detailed nature of the process, where patience becomes part of her artwork.
ANDREEA'S CLASS
WINGED SHAPESHIFTERS
Imagine wearing a piece of jewellery that can transform, reveal hidden details, and invite interaction.
In this class, Andreea Corpodean invites you to create an intricate wearable creature inspired by mysterious insects from another dimension. Part beetle, part butterfly, this sculptural project combines reversible design, movable elements, and hidden surprises within a single piece that can be worn and explored in multiple ways.
Far beyond a traditional pendant or brooch, this project encourages you to think about movement, transformation, and functionality as essential parts of the process. Through thoughtful engineering solutions, concealed mechanisms, layered details, and magical effects, you will create a piece that changes with every angle and captures attention through its shifting colours and unexpected elegant features.

WHAT WILL YOU LEARN?
During Andreea’s full-day class, you will learn and discover how to:
-
create a reversible piece that functions as either a brooch or a pendant
-
design modular compositions with movable and removable elements
-
integrate hidden construction details into lightweight sculptural jewellery
-
layer pigments, paints, and iridescent effects to create colour-shifting surfaces
-
design visually refined front and back sides
-
explore creative problem-solving and thoughtful engineering

ANDREEA'S ARTWORK
Focused on detailed, sculptural designs inspired by nature, mythical creatures, magical worlds, and celestial themes, Andreea’s work often features winged creatures such as birds, moths, butterflies, and dragons. Her creations are characterized by vibrant colour palettes, tiny decorative elements, the use of natural minerals, and a strong sense of symmetry.
In recent years, Andreea has been exploring multifunctional designs, including reversible pendants, journal covers, and framed artworks incorporating detachable jewellery elements, as well as pieces that transform into glowing creations in low light. Her attention to detail and desire to create work that feels complete from every angle make her artwork truly distinctive within the polymer clay community.
